Oedipus - Thai Thai

Same same but different: a spicy tripel with Thai flavors. Thai Thai is an ode to the magic of home brewing: of the days we spent conjuring up mad recipes in a small Amsterdam kitchen; of going to the local market and coming back with striking red chili peppers, coriander, pungent lemongrass, oranges and galangal root. Using a Belgian Abbey yeast strain, Thai Thai approaches the Belgian beer tradition of the Tripel. Pilsner malts and American hop varieties enhance the citrus flavors. The result is familiar, yet surprising. Complex, yet inviting. Expect the unexpected. A spicy Thai dish trapped in a beer. Power to the herbs!
